Where We Started
VAC IT FNQ began with a leap of faith, a single vac unit, and a whole lot of determination. Callan purchased the business from a long-time family friend and took it on with nothing but grit, hard work, and a vision to build something bigger for his family and community.
In the early days, the business operated with just the small red unit — slow, inefficient, and far from ideal for the workload ahead. Hydro vacuuming took forever, and every job demanded long hours and relentless effort. But Callan believed in what the business could become, and he wasn’t afraid to put in the blood, sweat, and tears required to get it there.
Backed by that determination, he upgraded to an Isuzu truck paired with an STG powerhouse vac tanker unit, transforming VAC IT FNQ from a basic service into a reliable, professional, and capable operation.
Today, VAC IT FNQ has grown into a true one-stop shop for digging, hydro excavation, site preparation, and site restoration — supporting projects of all sizes across the Hinchinbrook region and beyond. What started as a small, humble setup has become a trusted local service built on dedication, hard work, and a commitment to doing the job properly the first time.
